Ajahn Brahmavamso
Ajahn Brahmavamso, popularly known as Ajahn Brahm, is a well-known Buddhist teacher to a growing international audience keen to learn meditation and develop a deeper spiritual understanding. A Theoretical Physics graduate from Cambridge University, Ajahn Brahm was ordained as a Theravadan monk in Bangkok at the age of 23 by the Abbot of Wat Saket and trained with Ajahn Chah Bodhinyana Mahathera. Ajahn Brahm has spent more than 40 years in the forest-meditation tradition and is the Abbot of Bodhinyana Monastery in Western Australia with 22 monks under his training. He is also the Spiritual Patron of Buddhist Fellowship Singapore and the author of several popular book titles – “Opening The Door of Your Heart”, “Happiness Through Meditation”, “Simply This Moment”, “The Art of Disappearing” and “Good Bad Who Knows?”.
Khenpo Jamgang Lokshey
Born in the Sakya region of Tibet in 1957, Khenpo Jamgang Lokshey entered Namdrolling Monastery of Nyingma tradition in South India at the age of seven. Khenpo Lokshey received his first extensive Lamdre teaching by His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trizin in 1967, at Sarnath, India. In the same year, he also received ordination under His Eminence Luding Khenchen Rinpoche, the 75th throne holder of Ngor tradition of the Sakya School. In 1984, Khenpo Lokshey was sent to The Singapore Buddhist Sasana Society, currently known as Sakya Tenphel Ling, as a spiritual teacher by His Holiness 41st Sakya Trizin. In 1989, Khenpo became the General Secretary of the Sakya Centre and Sakya Institute in India. He served there until 2012 and thereafter was appointed as one of the Khenpo of the Sakya Centre. Today Khenpo travels to many countries giving teachings and establishing his own centres.
Venerable Professor Dr K. Dhammasami
A Theravada monk for more than 30 years, Venerable Professor Dr K Dhammasami is a Buddhist chaplain at Oxford University, where he graduated with a doctorate degree. Ven Dhammasami is currently the Chief Abbot of the Oxford Buddha Vihara (UK), (Singapore), (Malaysia) and (Yangon), and the founder of the Shan State Buddhist University (SSBU) Myanmar. He has been offering Buddhist mindfulness practices in relation to western and Buddhist psychology, with the main focus on emotions management. He regularly teaches in Great Britain, Spain, Hungary, Serbia, Thailand and Myanmar.
Venerable Geshe Lobsang Yonten
Venerable Geshe Lobsang Yonten was born in Zanskar, a remote part of Northern India that is historically and ethnically Tibetan. At the age of ten, he chose to become a monk, studying at the local monastery for five years. He then travelled to South India to begin a 26-year programme of scholastic study to become Lharampa Geshe at Drepung Gomang Monastery. This degree is the highest monastic degree in the Gelug School of Buddhism. Geshe Yonten is a member of a small group of monks selected by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to study English, western philosophy, and science so that he may teach, collaborate and study with scientists, philosophers, educators and others across the world. Geshe Yonten is specially appointed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to be Resident Teacher of the Tibetan Buddhist Centre, Singapore.
Venerable Professor Geshe Ngawang Samten
Venerable Professor Geshe Ngawang Samten is a renowned scholar of Buddhist and Tibetan studies. His contribution to his field of studies is highly recognised in the academic circles within India and beyond. He has been decorated with Padma Shri by the Government of India in the field of education and literature in 2008. Geshe is currently the Vice Chancellor of Central University of Tibetan Studies of Sarnath, India and has been with the university since 2001.
Venerable Dr Rambukewela Gnanaseeha
Venerable Dr Rambukewela Gnanaseeha was born in Sri Lanka and has been living in Singapore since 1984. He graduated from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 1978, obtaining an Honours Degree in Economics. He went on to obtain his Postgraduate Diploma in Buddhist Studies and was awarded a PhD by the University of Kelaniya for his work entitled, “Buddhist Concept of Assimilation”. After his graduation, he published several books and articles mainly in relation to Buddhist philosophy and his latest research paper was “Essence of Buddhism” which has been translated into 16 different languages. Venerable Gnanaseeha is constantly looking at ways to bridge cross-cultural differences – he initiated the building of the first Chinese-style architectural shrine in Sri Lanka as well as displaying the artefacts which belong to all the three Buddhist traditions - Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana - as part of educating the Sri Lankan Buddhist community.
Venerable Shi Chuan Guan
Venerable Shi Chuan Guan was born into a Buddhist family in Singapore and graduated from NTU Singapore with a degree in Computer Engineering. He was ordained in 2002, with his higher Bhikkhu ordination a year later, and stayed at Fa Yun Monastery (New Mexico, United States), learning the suttas and practising meditation under the Mahayana Buddhist tradition while studying the Theravadin Pali Canon. Returning back to Singapore in 2006, he continued his learning and practices, residing in Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery till 2009. Currently, Ven. Shi Chuan Guan is residing in The Buddhist Library, Singapore, while giving Dhamma and meditation classes. He also tries to reach out to the Buddhist community online via his blogs.
Dr Ang Beng Choo
Dr Ang Beng Choo had been with the education service for more than 30 years, being a school teacher, a school inspector, a curriculum and textbook developer, a teachers' trainer, a university lecturer and an administrator. A practising Buddhist who has served many Buddhist organisations, Dr Ang has been a Patron of Buddhist Fellowship Singapore for many years. She has been frequently invited by local and overseas organisations to give talks on personal development, human relationship, family life and children education. Dr Ang is also a writer whose academic articles and novels have been published in various magazines. Her collection of Buddhist stories in the novel "Back to the Samsara" was published both in Singapore and Taiwan.
Angie Chew
Ms Angie Chew is the founder and principal mindfulness trainer at Brahm Centre, a secular charity that promotes happier and healthier living, offering mindfulness programmes, free health talks and activities, befriending services for patients and caregivers, and support services for the lonely elderly in the community. She is a very popular mindfulness trainer who has conducted mindfulness courses and workshops for more than 4,000 people. Corporate clients include Agency for Integrated Care, Goldman Sachs, Institute of Mental Health, National Council of Social Service, SingHealth, Titansoft and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Professor Choo Chiau Beng
Professor Choo Chiau Beng is the Non-executive Chairman of M1, Chairman of Centre for Maritime Studies, National University of Singapore, Provost Chair Professor of Practice in Faculties of Engineering and Business, Rector of Residential College 4, NUS, Member of the Board of Trustees, Singapore University of Technology and Design, Chairman of Board of Governors of Raffles Institution, and Board Member of National Research Foundation.
Chow Yen-Lu
Mr Chow Yen-Lu is the co-founder and chairman of WholeTree Foundation and Singapore Creations Etc. He has worked in the technology, media and venture capital industries for 35 years. Mr Chow is a successful entrepreneur with multiple tech start-ups, and is an active angel investor, having spent many years mentoring and advising entrepreneurs and young businesses. He serves as a mentor to numerous institutions, including INSEAD, NUS, SIM and SMU. As a seeker of truth, Mr Chow understands the importance of mental wellness as a life priority, and has given numerous talks on the subject. By providing the right environment, he believes everyone can embark on the journey of self-discovery, healing and transformation to attain true happiness and optimal well-being.
Irvyn Wongso
Mr Irvyn Wongso is currently CEO of Nuansa Musik Group, which owns the largest network of Yamaha Music School in the world, amongst other businesses. Apart from being a meditation practitioner who regularly practises in the forests of Thailand and an active Dhamma speaker internationally, Mr Wongso also serves as an advisor to Buddhist Fellowship Indonesia and Pintu Belajar Foundation which supports the education of underprivileged Buddhist children in Indonesia. In an effort to preserve Buddhist teachings, he founded True Direction – a movement to spread Dhamma values through music and other mediums. He also launched an album as a composer and singer, titled “Dhamma Is My Way” and a single “I Am Home” which were well-received. With his recent movement in Indonesia to promote meditation to Buddhist youths, Mr Wongso’s motto is very simple – “Born as a Manussa, Die as a Sotapanna”.
Sim Kwang Mong
Mr Sim Kwang Mong is a practising counsellor with many years of experience working with adolescents and in pre-and post-marital counselling, and is a certified Prep/Enrich Facilitator. Mr Sim is also a certified Professional Counselling Supervisor under the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors (Singapore) (APACS).
Dr Tan Ho Soon
Dr Tan Ho Soon is the Founder of Nalanda Buddhist Society, and was the first Director of Nalanda Institute, Malaysia when it started in 2007. He also founded the Sri Serdang Buddhist House in 1999 – a hostel for undergraduates keen to learn and practise Dhamma. Dr Tan graduated with an honours degree in marketing and international business from the United Kingdom. He also graduated from the Buddhist & Pāḷi University of Sri Lanka, having studied Buddhist doctrines, philosophy, linguistics, history and sociology. Dr Tan has been invited to speak at various Buddhist centres and conferences throughout Malaysia, as well as in 17 other countries across Asia, Europe and Oceania.
Datuk Seri Dr Victor Wee
Datuk Seri Dr Victor Wee is the President of Buddhist Gem Fellowship, Malaysia and an accomplished Buddhist musician. He has composed many Dhamma songs in English and recorded five albums with the Wayfarers, a musical group which he leads. Datuk Seri Wee was formerly the Chairman of the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia. He was also the Chairman of the Programme Committee of United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWT0). Datuk Seri Wee is an active Dhamma teacher in Malaysia and Singapore, and speaks frequently at Buddhist conferences.

Koh Kai Xin
Ms Koh Kai Xin is the co-founder of HighSpark Pte Ltd, a presentation consultancy and training agency. She started her entrepreneurship journey at the age of 19 and has since worked with numerous organisation leaders including those from the Fortune 500.
She has served as a VP of Buddhist Fellowship Youth (BFY), an interim Exco committee member, in-charge of publicity for Buddhist Fellowship Singapore, and currently facilitating Dhamma classes for the teenagers on Saturdays.
Amidst all the hustle, a few times a year, Kai Xin would retreat to Forest Monasteries in Thailand for formal meditation practice. Kai Xin also actively volunteers her time at Wat Ananda Youth (WAY) and Nibbana Dhamma Rhakka (NDR) when Thai forest masters visit Singapore to teach.
Jasmine Liew
Ms Jasmine Liew has been a Human Resource practitioner for 16 years, spanning across civil service, multinationals and private sectors. She specialises in Human Resource Learning and Organisation Development. Currently, she is the Organisation Learning & Development Director of Breakthrough Catalyst LLP and is the only Asia Global Premier Partner of The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace programme. Ms Liew is also an Associate Faculty of The Singapore University of Social Sciences. She has designed and conducted leadership-management training, provided leadership and career coaching, and also designed organisation development solutions to help propel individuals and organisations to greater success.
Lam Yin Yin
Ms Lam Yin Yin has benefited from her younger days being part of the youth group of Buddhist Fellowship, Singapore and plans to enrol her toddler to the society's Sunday school soon. She also enjoys Buddhist volunteer work through Firefly Mission. Ms Lam currently works at the World Bank, focusing on trade infrastructure in developing countries. She has worked previously at International Enterprise Singapore, as its Division Director of Southeast Asia.
DR NG WAI CHONG
Dr Ng Wai Chong is a medical doctor with a local non-profit organisation that is involved in aged care and ageing issues. He has been an active volunteer with the NUS Medical Dhamma Circle since 1988 and was the immediate past President of Cakkavala Meditation Centre, Singapore. Dr Ng studies the Dhamma and meditation under Sayalay Dipankara, a disciple of the Venerable Pa Auk Sayadaw. In these recent years, he has been frequently invited to deliver lectures at many Buddhist organisations in Singapore.
Roger Tan
Mr Roger Tan is currently the CEO and owner of Voyage Research, previously known as SIAS Research. He has a strong penchant for financial analysis and economics theories, having commented, written, applied, and taught a host of finance subjects and topics. Mr Tan has also lectured in various tertiary institutions in Singapore. He is often quoted and makes appearances in both local and international media, such as Channel News Asia, Channel 8, Lianhe Zaobao, Straits Times, Business Times, Capital 95.8FM and 938Live locally, and CNBC, Reuters and Bloomberg internationally.
Dr Wong Yin Onn
Dr Wong Yin Onn is currently an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Monash University, Malaysia. He obtained his MBBS with distinction from Universiti Malaya in 1984. From 1988 to 1989, he served as Visiting Lecturer to his alma mater and established his private practice in Johor Bahru in 1990. Dr Wong has been sharing Dhamma regularly in Johor Bahru, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok and Manila for the past decade. He spoke at the 3rd, 7th, and 8th Global Buddhist Conferences. Since 2004, he has been teaching Dhamma classes weekly at Metta Lodge, Johor Bahru. He is also the author of a popular title – Walking in the Buddha's Footprints, 100 Reflective Essays.
Dr Yeo Guat Kwang
Dr Yeo Guat Kwang is currently serving as the Assistant Director-General of the National Trades Union Congress. He was a Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2015, and President of the Consumers Association of Singapore from 2002 to 2017. Dr Yeo has been an advocate for many causes, including workers’ rights and workplace health. Among his many roles, Dr Yeo serves as a Grassroots Advisor to Aljunied GRC grassroots oganisations and is also the Chairman of Migrant Workers' Centre and Centre for Domestic Employees.
